I came across an interesting site recently...and read a very interesting article . It was about the top ten most manliest names that included the likes of Lance Armstrong ( arm-strong) , Powers Boothe ( apparently like phone booth) , Max Planck etcetra etcetra etcetra....Well I must admit these are the kind of names that on an average every girl would drool over and blindly date. But over here in India one cannot be expected to be named Max or Powers or Lance and ..oh! I forgot to mention Comm. Flex Plexico ( now that name is thoroughly enticing !!! Even more since the guy is a commander) . My apologies I did not want to bring forth my hedonistic virtues .
Anyhoo ..I ought to give a diplomatic approach to what I am about to write owing to its sensitivity. Names do play a significant role . It is an individual's identity and like it or not it does affect the establishment of a good prima facie . A good name sets a platform . Unless if the individual is a contraption of an unbearably fake attitude ....what was that- ah yes!!! a douche bag..A person may transcend to state of self damnation if that is the case. But a good name with a good character ,meticulously grown , is the elixir of victory .
On the contrary not all the big names have been all that great to hear . Hypothesis : having a good name is not mandatory . You will just have to deal the kind of massacre your name will have to confront without inhibition . But who the hell cares about that as far as your image is intact and everybody treats you with profound reverence..ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!
That sucks...Nobody likes their names being messed with . It is one thing that you can rightfully coin as 'yours' . What goes beyond worse is that when experiments continue until efficacy attained . As a victim to such a monstrosity I understand what kind of trouble a person can go through when not everybody can pronounce his/her name properly. For those who are keen to know , the first half of my name suggests what would be the diagonally opposite of my ahem..preferences .
Lets get past me . Having a South Indian origin I am proficient enough to pronounce South Indian names properly . But I also see the kind of trouble ( intentional or not) people seem to have when it comes to propelling traditional names out of their mouths. Even if it is the name of a Nobel Laureate . I am talking about none other than one of the finest musicians of the past era and a part of the historic trinity comprising the most accomplished singers of the country -M S Subhalakshmi . Few know that her name is actually spelt as 'Subbulakshmi' . But forget the wrong spelling . At least don't call her whatever you feel like . Its a shame when people cannot pronounce names of the greatest from their own country .
I ponder if it is necessary change your name for the stage . Look at A.R.Rahman . How many know that his birth name was A.S Dileep Kumar . But he is embedded in everybody's heart as Rahman . I guess he had different reasons to change his name but , I doubt he would have created the same impact had he not changed his name . Names make an immortal part of us . They define us . After all irrespective of what the name is like it is a matter of time before people learn to pronounce names properly ,and it is a matter of acceptance for my likes.
With that note , wont take too long to post the next thoughtful spark .

hoo..li..gans
Here goes one of the most confusing moments of my life. After breathing fresh oxygenated air into carbon di-oxide long enough I am proud to say that I still have not understood the basic building blocks of human psychology. This is possibly an understatement but true. Treading back to the crux of this ( remarkably baseless) post , I was thinking what wonders can even rash cacophony ( called remixes in the present world) play in those rat sized brains of people.
But before i write any further I have to introduce myself from a new angle. For those who are not aware, I am a frickin' music enthusiast. Having learnt classical for almost a decade ( no kidding) I ought to appreciate good music...ahem -highlight 'good music'. Serves as a manifestation to my acquaintance with music from various genres. I don't say I know them all but as weird as I am I have a fetish for good music. I know enough to differentiate between music and ear cracking noise.
Human psyche has degraded so much. I pity the people who are continuously subjected to such insipid misfortune , misnomered as music . Making my point even more clear - music is less about vocals and instruments and more about the DJs (drunk jockeys) . It does not require days to be spent in the R&D center to realize that what people say they groove to used to be some pristine song once upon a time, later on vandalized by evil forces on earth. Well they are not to be entirely blamed , are they?? They became what they are (mostly) after extensive failure in everything else. Its a universally accepted profession. Moreover , what is wrong in doing something as far as there is an inexplicably brought up , nonsensical bunch of people in the society who enjoy the all time classic musical abominations .
Well I am still confused..who is to be blamed?? The DJ who strives to earn money by doing the only thing he is probably good (or bad) at . Or is it the people who just need an excuse to show their skills in dancing or whatsoever . Either ways the person in question is motivated to do something novel for his own betterment (or pragmatically , his own fall ) .
What is even more flabbergasting ??? We have the honorable DJs gently poking their noses in ceremonies and joints which are aimed at proving their core traditional values ( goodness I can make sentences so complicated!!) . To exemplify the above statement , take for instance the garbha-dandiya sessions during navratri . Fortunately or unfortunately my house is very close to this gymkhana where the essence of navratri remains unforgotten and the spirits of the people sky high . Dandiya is a regular feature and there are chunks of people coming in to dance almost everyday for nine whole days . Well that is something to be proud about...but all the pride is simply torn apart when I hear and watch people dance on remix numbers from a few retarded bollywood movies . I look around and then I see the man in action , rolling and spinning ( or pretending to roll and spin) something . Bravo !!! Now that is called techno dandiya..daah!!
Well , my apologies to those who may not like the content of this post . The post is not written to derogate the capabilities of these people . It is just a testimony to those who think they are the ultimate creators of music , nothing short of hooligans .
With that note , lemme spin off . Will spin back again..( just tempted to use that word though it did not make any sense)

Ass to badass
I found this title apt for somebody like me. I dunno what the reason is. May be because I am way too taken away by the erotic glitterati that surrounds me..balderdash. Let us backtrack 'life and history of homo sapiens' which has traveled a loooooonng way . First the monkeys ,then neanderthals and then FINALLY monkeys again!! (humans or whatsoever they are called today). We are all a tribute to the lice picking creatures that dominated this planet a few million years ago and still do. Darwin's theory (the most non-sophisticated theory) may explain why we happen to be the strongest of all the living things but it is also the key to success for all the management and corporate brats that dictate our bank accounts. Re-live the moment fellas!!! Darwin's legacy continues. He is the reason to have influenced many big names we come across everyday. Machiavelli probably worshipped Darwin. But he was way too decent to use all the slang terms that have evolved in english just like humans. Restating what these big names wanted to convey- If you are not a F****** bad ass , you will not succeed.Being just an ass is like blind faith.Being decent is like kicking you own ass. So think of all the future aspects that you may behold before transcending in to a realm of goodness and benevolence.

my footprint on the cement slab
Finally i made it.This is my first blog and my first post .Though I created this account almost a month ago it was still a dubious attempt.I had bit of as they say 'starting trouble'.Albeit the title of the blog is very intriguing.Honestly I gave it the name so that I can allure all the eccentric weirdos in this planet to visit this blog.It already seems to have worked, with people thronging in longingly into an empty blog just going by the name.Hey..thanks a lot.I am flattered...neither just nor in derision.I have decided to live up to my own expectations from now onwards. So no more dilly-dally.. (I am not a very 'speech' kind of a person) I will conclude this post with a positive note and my word to keep this blog updated every now then.
